Neil's particular expertise lies in transport, both from the commercial and dispute resolution perspectives. He is listed in the International Who's Who of Maritime Lawyers 2007.

Neil advises on insurance law and his clients include insurance companies and P&I Clubs, as well as private clients. In addition to commercial claims, Neil is regularly instructed in relation to health and safety prosecutions and also has an interest in Accident Compensation.
Neil appears regularly on behalf of his clients in the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.
Neil is an active committee member of the Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand.
