Ben has experience advising employers across a range of industries. He advises on the appropriate nature of engagement of labour for a client's business (collective agreements, non-union agreements, individual agreements including Australian Workplace Agreements and contractor agreements).
Ben provides strategic workplace relations advice, including enterprise bargaining negotiations, union negotiations, response to industrial action and disputes and right of entry issues.
Ben has also advises on managing corporate restructuring, redundancy and other separations. He drafts employment contracts, workplace agreements and policies that are WorkChoices compliant.
Ben is an experienced counsel who appears regularly in Federal and State Industrial Commissions, Equal Opportunity Tribunal and the State Workers Compensation Tribunal.
Ben helps boards and senior management develop and implement occupational health and safety, workplace (including discrimination/harassment policies) and other risk management strategies.
