Andrew is a commercial lawyer, offering transaction expertise in a range of corporate matters including capital raising, asset and business sales / acquisitions, corporate governance and takeovers.
Andrew has recently returned to DLA Phillips Fox following a secondment to the Commonwealth Takeovers Panel. The role included the provision of legal and policy advice to sitting Panel members, and the day to day management of Panel applications in conjunction with other members of the Panel Executive.
Andrew acts for a variety of clients including listed and public companies, SME's and high net wealth individuals and has experience providing broad ranging commercial advice across a diverse range of industry and transaction types. He routinely provides advice on corporate law and listing rule compliance across areas including related party transactions, financial assistance, share capital reductions and buy-backs, takeovers, compulsory acquisitions, managed investments, disclosure, fundraising, financial services and directors duties. He also reviews and drafts general commercial agreements and transaction documents ranging from large domestic and international share and business sales and purchases, to notices of meeting, share subscription agreements, company constitutions, supply agreements and business / investment structures.
Andrew has Commonwealth Government experience. He has worked in Canberra in a policy advice and litigation role at a senior government level, in the area of national security. He is currently undertaking a Masters of Laws at Monash University.
